CHU  RESIDENCE

The clients of this home were not afraid of new ideas which gave us the unique opportunity to create something really different in this space.  There were some challenges – in particular the structural post in the hallway that went to the ceiling (when nothing else could).  We decided to make it a feature by wrapping it in glass, with the stone slab of the fireplace to turning it into a beautiful unexpected art alcove.  The concept for this space quickly became wrapping things... nothing ever really visually ended… materials turned corners and were either interwoven or overlapping adjacent materials.
